Support Group Meeting (at Crist Church, Chorleywood) - Wed 4th Dec (TBC) - Details

Events

At the FOPS Support Group we all have at least one thing in common - we've all had prostate cancer and we've survived thanks to a variety of treatments. We exist to help men, their partners and their families at a time when they are worried about prostate cancer.

When you first discover that you have prostate cancer it can be a huge shock to you and your family. It's a time when you will probably feel reluctant to talk, however, you could get a lot of comfort from talking somone who has treatment and been cured. Our first priority is to provide support and comfort, based on personal experiences, to men who have been recently diagnosed with or have had prostate cancer. We aim to raise awareness of the consequences of prostate cancer and, just as importantly, to encourage partners and families to appreciate how necessary it is that they support men in seeking advice.
FOPS are able to reassure, console and share experiences with anyone anywhere who finds themselves concerned about, or suffering from, any form of prostatic malfunctioning.

Our team treat everything you talk about in the strictest confidence and you can have as much or as little contact with our group as you wish. Wherever you live, if you would like a quick chat with someone who's 'been there' and will be able to provide a shoulder to lean on feel free to 'Contact Us'. Within our group we have Health Care Professionals and links with other specialist charities too.

We look forward to welcoming you at this month's meeting!

From 7.30pm to 9.30pm at The Junction, Christ Church, Chorleywood.

Our Aims

The FOPS greatest accomplishment is that, working together, we have helped, and will keep on helping, men affected by Prostate Cancer (also known as 'Tiger Cancer') turn themselves away from their personal precipices and get their lives back together. Learn more...
